Pro-life Gym in Paisley invest in new equipment

Gym team hope Pirates, Saints and Stallions will inspire Buddies

Paisley sports stars are reaping the benefits of the latest upgrade to the town’s Pro-Life gym.

The likes of the Paisley Pirates, St Mirren, Renfrew Stallions and athletes from Kilbarchan AAC have all been taking advantage of the upgrades, which have been done over two stages this year. Having spent more than £150,000 on updating the club’s equipment, Pro-Life hope that regulars are seeing a difference and enjoying the new kit.

Pro-Life chief executive Gayle Brannigan said: “The feedback that we have had from our members has been fantastic. Upgrading the gym was always something that we have been keen to do and we are always looking at ways that we can improve it.

We hope that it will encourage more people to get in shape and keep fit, and if we can do that through the equipment then
fantastic. The latest round of upgrades has seen us invest in more cardiovascular equipment, with new next-generation treadmills and arc trainers.

Already we have had the guys from the Paisley Pirates in trying it all out. They have done the majority of their training in the gym over the course of the summer as they haven’t always been able to get on to the ice.

St Mirren are regularly in the gym, and just the other day we had Stelios and Adam Eckersley trying out the new kit.”
