Renfrewshire Sports Charity

From 1st May 2014, Alex granted a licence for Renfrewshire Sports Charity to run Pro-Life Fitness Centre, which means any profits from the gym will go to help ACCORD and St Vincent’s hospices close to the hearts of thousands of people here in Paisley and Renfrewshire.

Alex handed over the daily operation of the centre to a new charity which will work to bring in much needed money for the two hospices as well as helping young sportsmen and women achieve their dreams.

While the business changes behind the scenes, familiar faces have stayed the same. Gayle is chief executive of the new charity working alongside well known businessman Norman Walker, chairman of ACCORD and chairman of the board at Kibble Education and Care Centre, who has now been appointed chairman of RSC.

Gayle and the team of professional expert staff here at Pro-Life will still offer the same excellent level of service which we have been known and trusted for over the last 24 years. The only difference now is that by keeping fit with Pro-Life you can feel proud in the knowledge that you are helping two such worthwhile charities and perhaps some sporting stars of the future.

The Official Press Release

Every pound profit from the new Renfrewshire Sports Charity will go to the hospices and also to a newly formed Sports Fund to help up-and-coming sports people in the Renfrewshire area work towards achieving their goals.

It is a historic day for Pro-Life and for me personally with one chapter ending and an exciting one beginning. I have decided to hand over the daily operation of the centre to a new charity which will work to bring in much needed money for ACCORD and St Vincent’s hospices as well as helping young sportsmen and women achieve their dreams.

From today I have granted a licence for Renfrewshire Sports Charity to run the Pro-Life gym, which means any profits from the gym will go to help the two hospices close to the hearts of thousands of people here in Paisley and Renfrewshire.

As a long term supporter of both ACCORD and St Vincent hospices I know how much they appreciate the support of the local community and I am delighted to be able to help in this way. So, with this move forward I feel it is the ideal time for me to retire from the management of the fitness centre.

My main involvement over the last three years has been providing a free-of-charge personal service to members looking for new work out programmes and/or nutritional advice and making sure our members benefit from the most up-to-date equipment in today’s market. I am pleased to say that with the blessing of the charity I will still be available to offer free expert advice to members.

So you haven’t seen the last of me yet!

Every pound profit from the new Renfrewshire Sports Charity will go to the hospices and also to a newly formed Sports Fund to help up-and-coming sports people in the Renfrewshire area work towards achieving their goals.

I would like to thank everyone who has been a member of Pro-Life over the last 24 years and I hope for your continued support in promoting Pro-Life Fitness Centre as Renfrewshire’s Sports Charity.

Yours in fitness
