Two Paisley bodybuilders are hoping to book a flight to Miami as they travel south to compete in the BNBF British Championships this afternoon.
Sarah McKenzie and Lisa Easdon, who train at the town’s Pro-Life gym, will be competing at the event in the Rep Theatre, Birmingham, having qualified for the competition with winning performances at the Scottish Championships back in June.
A spot at the World Championships in Miami is now up for grabs if they can progress through to the next stage in their events.
Easdon will be competing in the masters physique category, having won at the Scottish Championships, while McKenzie
will be competing the ladies’ over-40 open category.
And Pro-Life’s Gayle Brannigan has heaped praise on the duo as they prepare to face off against Britain’s best. Gayle said: “It is fantastic that both Sarah and Lisa will be competing in Birmingham and they have the backing of every single person here at the club.
“There are a number of people going down to support the pair of them, and it goes without saying that we wish them all the very best of luck.
“They are an inspiration to every single one of us. Both Sarah and Lisa are role models to us all.” “Sarah is one of our long-term
members and, at 50, she is showing us all how it is done. It is phenomenal what she has achieved and her enthusiasm is fantastic to see.”
